Hello Everyone!

Thank you for taking the time to come to visit my page and read up on what brought me here today.

The beginning

Many years ago, I had the delusion that I would never gain weight, despite not exercising and eating a diet mainly consisting of junk food and fast food. The idea of cooking was a foreign concept to me, the microwave was my best friend and I lived on Lite N Easy for the pure convenience. Then one day I noticed…I HAD GAINED 10 KILOS!

Going from one extreme to another

Being the master of my own destiny I only had myself to blame, and therefore made the decision to rid myself of the unhealthy habits that lead me to that point.I assessed my body and recognised that my lack of exercise and consumption of overly processed food, with zero nutritional value, left me feeling unsatisfied, fatigued, and unhappy with my body.

With strong determination to be fit and healthy I went to the extreme and started exercising excessively, 7 days a week, and at times up to 3 hours a day. This, combined with restricting my diet to the point of virtually starved my body of the nutrients needed to function sustainability, bingeing followed. After bingeing came the guilt and inner turmoil which affected my mood level, attitude, and mindset.

A new chapter begins

Through the help and support of my family and friends I slowly came to accept and address that I suffered from symptoms of Orthorexia Nervosa. This opened up my eyes on how this affected not only myself, but those who loved and cared about me. My support network of family and friends also suffered with me whilst trying to help me overcome my anxiety around food and the ugly cyclical nature that occurred.

In becoming conscious and aware of my own body I was able change to my mindset through extensive research and dedication and now have a renewed respect and gratitude for my body.This stimulated, invigorated, and highly focused state is achieved through well-balanced enriching diet, maintaining a healthy exercise regime, and the practice mindfulness in my general life.

Due to my own readings my passion for cooking blossomed. I am constantly creating and adapting recipes, originally laden with unhealthy additives and converting them to incorporate the most wholesome ingredients to fuel my body from the inside-out .

My Aim

Through my own health journey I have overcome a significant amount. As a result, I am extremely devoted  in inspiring you to take ownership of your own wellbeing by sharing accurate and accessible information that I have acquired through my own self development and education.

My aim is to empower you in reaching your full potential to achieve a life of balance and happiness.

In developing a healthy and strong mind this will give you the strength to make your own conscience decisions of how to nourish your soul (through mindfulness in creating your own bliss) and your body (through clean eating and finding the joy in any form of exercise you choose).

I recognise that true balance comes from looking at the physical, emotional/mental and spiritual aspects of an individual as a whole, being in tune with what our body needs, and remembering we are all unique at our core self.

This is the ultimate holistic approach!
